Ofcourse as a allround specialist we also do eyetest fitting for contactlenses. We only do those by appointment.
New to Amsterdam ? We can help you with your lenses. We can test the lenses you're wearing. We need al the information about the lenses before we test. That means: the type of lens, the prescription, diameter and the shape. If you don't have that we do not test them. But we can fit new lenses for you
A new fitting for contact lenses is € 47,50
If you buy your lenses at the drugstore we don't take responsibility for those so we don't test those.
Never wore contact lenses?
Patients who would like to have contact lenses for the first time or those who failed with contact lenses in the past will need an initial appointment, which includes a full eye examination and a contact lens suitability assessment. We will do special measurements such as mapping the shape of your cornea with high precision digital topography. We will discuss what the most appropriate type of contact lenses for you and your lifestyle is most suitable.
Soft contact lenses
Soft contact lenses are made from soft, flexible materials hydro gels. Most clients like wearing them since these lenses are very comfortable. They are relatively simple to fit. Sof contact lenses are available in a variety of designs and materials. You may want to try daily lenses, monthly lenses or bi-weekly soft contact lenses. You replace them regularly, anything from daily to annually.
RGP contact lenses
Rigid Gas Permeable (RGP) contact lenses are custom made for every eye and are fitted with a high level of precision. Because of their rigidity, they provide excellent vision and will correct corneal irregularities such as regular and irregular corneal astigmatism. These lenses are manufactured in a great variety of designs and materials and therefore are suitable for most people.
